As fast as you can recommend me the best, durable and affordable boots. This shit is annoying; I can rock em', but I have no clue when it comes to buying them.

>>

Recommend a pair? Link me to some?
>>
>>9657197
caan't go wrong with most LL beans. They're relatively inexpensive and durable as all hell. They just don't look all that great imo.

I have danner mountain lights and I love em.

Pictures would be nice :)

I feel disappointed about the fact I'm not even getting a good amount of recommendations. Everyone's stuck on techwear and shit.
>>

I can help you, but you gotta be more specific about what style you want. I also need to know if you want to buy boots that will last a couple of years and then fall apart or if you want to invest in a pair that can be repaired and will last decades with proper care.

Price range?
I'm gonna assume pretty cheap
Try Clarks Montacute, Allsaints, or some army surplus store dress boots.

For something a little better, but pricier try LL Bean Katahdin Iron Works boots or Chippewa (who make the Katahdin's for Beans).

A step up from that is Red Wing Beckman or Wolverine 1000 Mile, the latter being the slightly slimmer dressier boot.

Are there any boots like these that are cheaper? I love the look but I'm poor as fuck
>>
>>9657828
I can go up to $200, but that's the limit. I can't go past that.
>>
>>9657840
You're pretty much limited to mall-tier brands, which I don't have much experience with. As I suggested before, try Allsaints or Clarks. H&M and Zara probably have similar styles. Most stores in the Northern hemisphere won't be carrying boots because it's spring/summer season. They bring 'em back in fall/winter.
>>
>>9657847
I guess I'll just buy some new sneakers again and wait til the season comes. I'll try saving up more money in the meantime.
>>
>>9657847
>$200 boots
>mall tier shit only
are you taking the fucking piss
>>
Wolverine 1000 miles
you can find them on grailed for ~$200 in good condition
>>
>>9657865
what's the catch?
>>
>>9657863
No. Can you post something to prove me wrong? It's my experience that the best boots are either Goodyear or Blake welted, full grain leather, and at least double, preferably triple stitched. This does not come cheap.

In my opinion the best boots for the money in this style begin with the Katahdin Iron Works, which retail for $244.
>>
>>9657516
riding boots?
>>
>>9657197

Do you have a quilted vest already tho?
You definively need a starbucks cup with you at all times and an iphone to complete the look as well.
>>
>>9657876
Not being the absolute best tier does not equate to being H&M and Zara tier dog shit.
>Danner
>LL Bean
>Red Wings
are few of many reliable boot makers that have models that fall well within or barely outside of $200
>>
>>9657907
Sorry. I guess I used the phrase as a catch-all for boots under $200 because I can't think of any good quality boots for that price.

I provided a few tiers of quality and price in my first post and I included both LL Bean and Red Wing as good cops. I even listed the $244 Bean boots. Please post some of the $200 Danners or Red Wings that don't look like shit.

Well thanks you guys, I'm gonna purchase a pair of LLBeans. I'll return if I'm not satisfied. Thanks for the time and advice. I'll just have to go $20 over my initial limit. I can now try out some new looks and save a lot of money on footwear.

Thoughts on these?
>>
>>9657950
I don't like the way the material looks. Seems cheap.
>>
>>9657946
Sorry I probably came off as harsh. It's just that since OP has a very low budget, an extra fifty bucks might seem like a big step up in price. That's why I was questioning the availability of quality boots sub two hundred bucks. Most of those look fine but once you are willing to get into that price range, you can get much better boots for a little bit more.

I think of boots as an investment and thus something worth saving up an extra hundred bucks for.
>>
>>9657963
Ok, glad we cleared that up then. No worries.
What instances of $300 boots do you feel are head and shoulders above the ones I posted? What qualities do they have that the slightly cheaper ones lack?

I'd say a lot of it comes down to the design and fit of the boot. Red Wing Beckmans or Iron Rangers retain the work boot look while being slimmed and simplified to work in a fashion context. A brand like Thorogood costs less but looks much chunkier and more like a traditional work/construction boot. Those Red Wings you posted from UO look really ugly to me, but I love the look of Iron Rangers. Maybe some of it is just a personal preference.

The leather treatment improves noticeably around the $300 mark as well. It's often hard to tell from the start, but once the boots have had time to age, the creasing and scuffing will reveal more about the leather's quality.

Eastland High Fidelity. 110 bucks and very nice quality. They frequently go on sale on Amazon too.

>>9658168

>>
>>9658019
I've no doubt that quality can scale further than the average $200 boot, but a suddenly jump in quality at $300 seems pretty arbitrary. The mountain lights I posted usually retail for ~$330, and I love them.

I do agree with the red wings looking poor. White soles on dark boots gross me out.
