Hey /fa/ I'm going to Japan next month.
Are Japanese brands like Y-3 cheaper there?
Yeah, I've heard Japanese designers sell cheaper in Japan since there aren't any import duties or anything.
Post back with your findings

I will. Thinking if bringing very few pieces of basic stuff so I have lots of room for sick clothing to bring home. Going on a backpacking trip so gotta min-max what I bring.
And yes, that makes sense. Can't wait to browse Tokyo for interesting stores.

not every store is going to sell archival yohji dude, you're going to waste your time unless you have a plan.
also the new sales tax is steep and boutiques will still have overpriced stuff :/

Hit up beams and ships (their equivalent of a higher end UO) to get most stuff and bring lotsa cash. I'm noticing japs can and will spend good yen on clothes including designers or at least a lot do. Foods cheap so should offset that.
