making my first garment ever, its supposed to be a coat, i fucked up the sleeve shoulder measurement and maybe i will have to make another one or maybe i can sew in another panel for that part of the sleeve, it would look nice

originally blue, dyed the bottom half black. it was a cheap $10 in house general pants (australian) shirt.

I used Rit dye and put in a bucket. Obviously follow the appropriate instructions for your method and dye If doing bucket, make sure your bucket is large enough for your shirt to fit in lengthways. I use salt to set it. If you are going to do a gradient, have pegs on handy to keep the shirt in place.

the one in this picture (red dyed somewhat black) I waited too long after using hot water before dying it and as a result didn't get as dark as I would like, so I'll be going over again. Same with the third one.
