A pair of sweatpants, trackpants or jeans (avoid black skinnies though, they never took off here except among fuccbois), a solid colour button-downs, t-shirts and sweaters, light denim jacket or a neutral coloured parka. For shoes I'd bring anything that can withstand getting wet, the area you're going to has been exceptionally rainy this September, with signs of such weather continuing. So as the other guy said, dress for the weather first, as long as you avoid wild patterns or excessive accessories, you'll blend in just fine.
