So how do you even do laundry properly? How do you separate them so that the colors don't affect each other? How do you know what clothing items to separate them all into?
If I sorted into lights, darks, and whites, and then sorted that into tees, shirts, pants, towels, and running shorts and socks then won't I have a dozen loads of laundry and won't laundry take forever?
Also how often am I supposed to wash things like towels and bed sheets? How often do you do laundry for specific items?

Why would you need to separate clothing items like that? Just separate colors and don't wash towels and sheets with clothes.
Towels every few days, sheets weekly, pillow cases changed daily if you have trouble with ur skin, underwear after each wear
and everything else when its dirty or smells imo, It's just laundry don't make it so complicated for yourself.
