I'm going to be working in an office. I don't feel like wearing a formal jacket. Can I just wear a windbreaker or something instead?

Pic not really related.
What kinda company is it , what about the dress code

Medical billing and coding, maybe some low-level sales work as a side job. I imagine a shirt and pants is enough, at least to start?

Shirt and pants seems fine for that. Just assess how everyone else is dressed Day 1. It doesn't hurt to overdress the first day tho, you can always take the jacket off

I didn't buy these shirts with a jacket in mind. That's okay, I'll just be more creative. Thanks for the feedback.
When I did medical billing I ran control desk so it was a bit more laid back. Usually just wore a button down and some slacks/chinos desu. Then I got some dickies work pants and never looked back. But I was hella' poor so whatever.

Also I'd wear a leather jacket or a track jacket over them and it looked cool.

Sounds pretty cool. I like canvas jackets, myself. I'll just sit down and think up things that will match.
