For example, most of the Star-Wars gear is just modified WW2 surplus.

While that's hard to find now, it was plentiful at the time.

Look at Rogue One and you'll see a bunch of modern surplus and soviet junk.

Basically just buy a bunch of army surplus and alter it for a near-future look.

A lot of shit is just cropped and then has new trim and pockets sewn on, or quilted sections.
