I just use shampoo and conditioner every 2 days, both without salt. First week or two going to none salt will get all frizzy, but after it stays normal.
I leave it to air dry/towel dry for about 10-20min or so and then comb it only after shower (Unless it's gotten tangled up due to high winds).
Have had long hair for about 14 years now doing this. Heard some people talk about that sea salt water spray thing, but never tried it.
It's currently close to my waist right now.

I do agree with the oil. I massage half a tablespoon of coconut oil (if solid, melted in the microwave to a liquid lukewarm temperature, not hot, so around 20 seconds) mixed with a couple of drops of lavender essential oil into my hair and scalp, leave it in for a couple of hours, then wash off. Do that once every week or every other week.

Other than that, wash and condition hair every other day. I personally use an old t-shirt to wrap my hair in after washing it because it damages hair less. Comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb, or else you could damage your hair if using a regular brush when it is wet.

Like this? I'm worried that it'll damage the hair when i tie it up. I think of my neck hair as a buffer for the inner hair, maby I'm wrong.

I used to not use a hairdryer but I got tired of letting it air dry. Do you actually wait for your hair to dry on its own? Takes too long.

Anyways, it's probably worth you joining the longhaircommunity forum. Got some pretty good advice there

Yeah it takes time to dry, but i try to plan ahead. Successive headbangs in a open space helps to quicken the process.

I've always let mine air dry. I usually shower and then just do something on the computer. If I shower and go out, then the open window usually dries it. I live in a hot country so that might not work for colder ones.
