I just got a job where I have to wear dress shirts and tuck them in. If, for most of the day, I feel like my throat's tight and it's hard to swallow...What am I doing wrong? I feel like my shirts are tucked in too tight, but I don't know how to tuck them in comfortably. It always feels so uncomfortable and imprisoning. And they're not tight SHIRTS, I actually got a big size for me and I still have the same problem...Can anyone relate? Any advice? I can't work like this.

Maybe you have anxiety caused by that environment which causes that feeling and you are associating with your shirts.

That may be true, and I have definitely considered that, but at the same time I hate the "pulling" feeling, like my tucked in shirt is pulling down my neck/throat. I mean is it possible to tuck TOO hard that it's bad for your neck?

I have never had that experience caused by shirts, and I wear shirts that are pretty trim. I do get a bit of a tight, uncomfortable feeling if my belt is worn too tight, like I can't breathe properly.
instead of tucking it in, try putting the shirt on before your pants. then, pull your pants up and and buckle then your shirt should be perfectly tucked under the pants.

I try this but I find it kind of hard, my pants aren't really wide enough to go over the floppy dress shirt...Maybe Im just really sensitive in the neck/throat area but when I wear dress shirts I seriously feel like its hard to swallow and my throat is being harmed.
Try suspenders instead of a belt and getting tested for autism.
It can also depend on the feel of the shirts. A large shirt from Express will be big on me but the stiffness makes them feel tighter, especially around the neck/underarm area. On the flip side I can buy softer shirts in smaller sizes and I don't get the sensation of tightness that you are describing
