I want to start a label and have some pretty cool concepts. I'm just starting out with graphic tees and whilst I'm able to form a "cool looking" design, how do I design a tee shirt without just throwing random shit on it? I feel like there should be some layer of meaning behind a design.
study graphic design, read books about it
making a tshirt by slapping on designs that "look cool" will get you nowhere
oh, and think really hard if you should even bother, because "i want to start a label because I can make a cool tshirt design" is a phrase uttered way too often

>there should be some layer of meaning behind a design
>I have some pretty cool concepts
The concept is used as the root meaning behind the design.
