yeah, the problem with this question is even if i could choose a favourite from a given area i would be valuing forms of art over each other more so than the artists themselves

no less, i really value in art gesamtkunstwerk... consideration of visual, structural, effectively all possible creative aspects of an environment. in this way i'm really a fan of designers who cultivate an entire world within their fashion, 90s thierry mugler, vivienne westwood, hedi slimane... i think film is the easiest example of this because it's inherently more multimedia, i'll skip listing directors

overall that's what i value in an artist, them creating a whole world which exists beyond just a single given one of their works
