I wouldn't go for full long, but instead just try going for a dylan sprouse type meme cut once you get to that length. The reasons for this are:
1. Your hair is growing very slowly and it will probably take about 3 years just to get to shoulder length at the rate it's growing
2. You'll probably just look like a greasy spic anyway even when it does get to that length

Definitely get it cut. I would start with the sides and changing the part. Don't do a hard part though because that will just fuck your hair up for at least 2 months. I would go with a blended side to top and move the part maybe 1/4 of your forehead over.

what should I do with my hair ?
t's always falling on my face or the sides and it's annoying, it started as a normal haircut where the middle part is significantly longer than the back and sides and I got to this.
I don't know how to style it or take care of it, the further I've went with it is just using a headband to avoid shit on my face but I look like fucking Krusty the Clown without the top sticking out.
I've always trying to form a bun with putting the headband as further as possible, apparently it looks nice, but I don't trust my family about how I look, I'll try posting it later.

I tried some generic clay, which was an improvement from wax, but still didn't cut it.
Tried some gel, and managed to get a solid "Mad Men" look, but I had to use quite the amount of gel for it.

Pretty retarded when it comes to styling my hair. What is the process to achieve this look and texture? I've tried a couple times using a paddle brush to do it, but my hair just doesn't cooperate. It won't stay in this shape, and when I put product in it just seems like it kind of weighs it down and my hair flattens out.
