Late middle school/early high school me (13 -16?)
>almost all shirts were solid color t-shirts, usually dark blues, greens, reds
>basically only wore jeans, khaki shorts, or jean shorts.
>plain white sneakers from department stores
>didn't know what to do with hair, alternated between massive marge simpsonesqe hair and terrible caesar cuts, neither of which suit my face

I was so shy that I was afraid to make any type of statement and get ridiculed so I tried to dress as plainly as possible...and got ridiculed.

Couple years ago my wardrobe consisted of exclusively my little pony t shirts, neon colored pants and a pair of red sperrys which I never took off.

It didn't occur to me to dress any particular way, so I guess the bright side is i never had a faggy emo stage or anything.

I've gradually worked my way through ill-fitting button ups and jeans to where I think I look fairly passable as a human now.

Let me just break down every year of high school so you can have an idea of just how stupid i looked

9th grade
>extremely tight t-shirts or slim button downs with super skinny jeans; was basically some weird cross between a hipster and a scene kid

10th grade
>got called gay too much (rural texas) so I stopped wearing skinny jeans and instead wore bootcut jeans with video game or band t-shirts

11th grade
>bought some slightly more flattering skinny jeans and wore a lot of flannels (actually didn't look too bad for a high schooler imo)

12th grade
>completely fucked up anything i had going for me the previous year
>started buying skinny jeans in all kinds of stupid fucking bright colors and wearing almost nothing but those "funny" t-shirts with animal faces on them
>died my hair blue for some reason and got an undercut
>combat boots

>we're both manlets and our pants were never hemmed so the bottoms would always be folded or ripped from being dragged on the ground

If there was one single piece of advice to share about clothing it'd be to wear pants that actually fit and to tailor the ones that don't, it really makes a world of difference.

The least effay period was any time before I left highschool. It was nothing but hand me downs from my older brothers who wore shit like 3xxxl proclubs and 38×30 baggy jeans. I where a medium and size 28×34 heans now.

This was basically me, didn't have the money or confidence to develop anything, and went to a high school with a uniform. I basically wore dress shirts two sizes too big, khakis that were too big, and pastel colored adidas. Every once in a while I'd wear a shitty shrunken sweater.
