They are different but not always superior. Mechanical dive watches are superior to digital dive watches in almost every way. Mechanical dress watches have a better aesthetic than digital imo.
It really comes down to how much you can afford to spend and what your taste is. There is a reason you mainly see cheaper watches in these threads and a reason why most if not everyone says that digital is fine.
I have a couple of each and they have different purposes so I can't really see any way one is more superior than the other.

You can get far better everyday watches that suit everyday wear as well as formal better than that watch for the same price. The Seiko 5 range would have something that suits you. Or if you don't want to worry about a mechanical watch Timex will have something that suits you. Settling for way over priced quartz things you are better off going to ali express and buying it from the source.

Sadly they do not make digital watches that are stainless steel with proper glass.
All you get is plastic or painted plastic with casio or timex etc.
Pulsar is the only one doing them differently, but their style is far from the good old days.

That said, I'm FAR from an elitist (I don't own anything more expensive than a Seiko5) but I think the NATO strap it comes with is probably worth more than that watch. 20 bucks isn't bad I guess but it could be much better spent, and even 10-20 more could get you something worth wearing. I'm assuming you're new to this.

In a real pinch, check out some thrift stores.

Back when you posted that, I had actually gone looking for something that fit your requirements. I didn't follow up because I couldn't find anything with a silver dial, but I'm thinking that may be for the best, I also didn't come across anything that would have looked good WITH a silver dial.

That said, decent chronograph for ~100, I'd look into a Timex Expedition. Though I think most of their models, Weekenders included, come in Chronograph editions. Past that, iunno, I have simple tastes and personally I find chronographs a little much, so it's out of my wheelhouse.

Yeah no doubt I love this watch! The band is from a timex I got for Christmas back in 2004. The face died a long time ago and I kept the band all this time. When the expansion band broke for this gold watch, it was almost meant to be.

I was just out at Walmart with a friend, it caught my eye at the jewelry section, the green glow. I wanted to buy it but figured it'd be cheaper online, ordered it for online pickup without leaving the store (it was 5-6 bucks cheaper). I didn't get the "order ready for pickup" email, but I went to the front the next day and they said "if we have it here, just go get it, we'll ring it up and write down that you got it".

Then about a month later I got an email saying "We're sorry, but there was a problem processing your order, we are unable to fulfill it, and your money has been refunded". STAIN.

I like it. Anadigis are my favorite, best of both worlds. Was thinking about getting that one at one time, but the only reason I didn't was that it had no light, whether LED or backlight. Lum never seems to work for me. Already have pic related, and, while I still like it, using it in the dark sucks, I didn't want another watch like that.

I assume that's an automatic, I don't know Breitling models very well though so if it's quartz you can ignore most of my advice. Get it serviced every once in a while, you can follow the manufacturer's recommended service interval or you can probably safely just do it every 5 or 10 years or so depending on who you believe. With it being a chronograph I probably wouldn't push it off too long though, and expect services to be pricy.

Don't try to reset the chrono while it's running, the watch shouldn't let you do that anyway but don't even try it. Keep it away from magnets, if it becomes magnetized you'll have to give it to a watchmaker to demagnetize which is easy and takes like 30 seconds. That's pretty much it besides the obvious like don't drop it and don't smash it.
