Has anyone here completely stopped using shampoo/conditioner/products?

How'd it go for you?
>>
I have. Sucked at first, my hair was gross af. Had to go through a rough transition. After that my hair began to flourish. Much better texture, and hair that was hard to manage is now only kinda hard. It gets gross less quickly surprisingly as well. I would recommend
>>
yup. for the past 3 or 4 months I've used only water to wash my hair, going great. I have like 4 inch long hair and I often get compliments. important note, I don't have greasy hair to begin with, so I can't speak for that

Yes. It didn't work for me, I have dry skin and dry hair.
I also don't like feeling that slight grubbiness that goes along with it.
If you have any kind of sweat odour issues don't waste your time. You reek. see poo in the loos for reference.
>>
i was really worried about odor, but apparently my sebum just smells chocolate. ive heard that from so many people it is sort of absurd
>>
it's going good. i dont see myself going back.
>>
opinions on full nopoo vs shampoo/condition like once a week?
>>
>>12611829
How do you do this? Doesn't your hair start to smell and feel greasy?
>>
>muh natural oils
>muh bad chemicals
>muh it will transition and stop being greasy
It's a retarded meme
>>

lmao same shit with me but "lemon/ginger-like"
>>

Yeah, I was in the army for 6 months and used shampoo only a few times, my hair was just greasier.
>>
>>12611829
i only use pine tar soap (and only like every other day)
my dandruff is at an all time low, using no product didnt work for me
>>
For a couple of years now. I wash with cold water only, texture is much better than with product. Never had a problem with greasy hair. My sebum doesn't really smell, but straight after a shower it has a little bit of a wet dog scent that goes away once dry.
>>
>>12612145
Yeah, because you used shampoo a few times
I hadn't shampooed or even conditioned my hair in over two years and my hair looked and smelled great, when I accidentally got a lot of mud in my hair, and after I shampoo'd it my hair was greasy for a few weeks after that

As long as I wet my hair every morning in the shower it's fine, in fact I think my hair is the best it's ever been.
For years I drifted back and forth between slight or pretty bad dandruff but now I don't have any at all.

It's nice to have one less thing I waste money on too, however little

I do that. Condition every maybe 10 days. I've noticed my hair has become much more manageable. It used to get really fluffy when I poo d it every day and if it was long I'd get an afro. Now it's just wavy, it gets a little fluff when I condition it but by the next day is back to normal.
>>
Yea I use shampoo 5 times a week and condition once a week and my hair stays pretty soft. I get compliments a lot on how my hair feels so I've always stuck to that method.

M : Shampoo
T: Shampoo
W: Condition
R: Shampoo
F: Shampoo
S: Shampoo
Su: N/A

This changes if I work out and get crazy sweaty. I usually wash my hair w/ shampoo. I've done this for most of my life and never has my hair felt shitty or dry.
>>
I haven't, but my gf did. Looked like shit for a while but now it is 10/10 hair. If you're willing to go through that period, go for it OP
