The thing about tattoos is if you want them to stay looking semi-decent you need broad, thick lines and simple, broad colours. These are amazing but with so much shading and thin lines they just won't last long at all.

What do you guys think about getting tattoos of Holbein's/Wolgemut's/ ect ect's danse macabre woodcuts?

I really appreciate the artworks themselves, but they also have heavily sectarian connotations and I'm not religious nor did I ever grow up religious. I'm thinking it could be justified under the guise that while the artworks were made surrounding a sectarian conversation/debate of the time and place, the symbolism at it's core and the attacks made by artists on the corruption of the church kind of work for everything. "Don't abuse those below you," "beware corruption," basically the whole point of them was "Don't be an asshole, clergymen and kings, death comes for all of us and you'll be judged like us."
