you'll look pathetic at 5'6. It won't make you appear taller (5'7 is still pathetic manlet tier) but everyone will be painfully aware that you're trying to make yourself appear taller than you are, therefore making them perceive you as even shorter than you actually are.

this is painfully true. unless youre already tall wearing heels as a man just makes everyone think youre insecure. wear 'normal' thick soles like Nike AF1 or Docs that are prevalent enough not to be noteiceable but still give you an inch of height

Looks dumb as shit with dress shoes. If you need heels on business casual or MAYBE business shoes get boots

depends on proportions more than height honestly.

If you have longer legs and wear skinny pants it looks pretty natural.

Its just like a pair of cowboy boots as long as the heel is under 2 inches, so it won't really look off or anything.
