Because I was raised in a consumerist society that only consumes fast fashion and I'm trying to break away from having a large wardrobe mentality.

I've been thinking about this concept a lot more. I wish I could afford to just get rid of everything and buy a whole new wardrobe all at once, but in the meantime, I'm just narrowing down everything to some cheap shitty/used items and plan to gradually replace them with very similar high-quality ones.
