Is he the best dressed Seinfeld character?

Dare I say, the best dress character in television?

Love me some seinspo desu. Jerry is a top choice too and even Kramer with his casual shirt+chain look

Are the 90s fashion now?

Trenchcoats are everywhere in 90s TV shows. Were they an irl trend in the 90s?
>>
>>12509792
Yes, its what you used to wear as an outercoat with a suit, you couldnt just wear a suit + parka for example.

You would get ridiculed in the office
>>
>>12508305
Fun fact: George was deliberately dressed in slim fit clothing to make him look uncool.

Basically, the 90s revival is all about looking like a fashion-unconscious person in the 90s.
>>
>>12509861
When did it start? When did it stop?
>>
>>12509899
people still wear trenchcoats over suits, you've just never noticed them

>tfw you will never solve x-files in a comfy trench coat and loose-fitting suit
>>
Give him a buzz or clean shave and he's faaf.
>>
>>12509924
People still wear everything but they're clearly not so popular today that they're in every TV show.
I can tell you that you ALMOST never see them where I am. Professionals just use umbrellas.
>>
>>12509934
yeh I guess it depends on where you live. I see them all the time on public transport in the mornings... but it always rains where i'm from
>>

where do you live dude?

>the 90s revival is all about looking like a fashion-unconscious person
That's pretty interesting, because if so then I can't really trust those 90s fashion guides/magazines
>>
>tfw look like George Constanza
>tfw always get compared
>tfw same personality

would be shit but actually boosted my self confidence for some reason. Shit load of irl guys and girls who are attracted to Seinfeld-era Jason Alexander, everyone has hope lads
>>
>>12509937
I only see them on women desu

I think men and girls shy away from them now in fear of looking like the school shooter
>>
>>12510558
George is inspo, he looks good in every episode honestly. I have no clue how he pulls it off
>>
How do I dress like him? Should I just buy a lot of jackets?
>>
would i be able to like seinfeld if im not white? been thinking of watching some episodes
>>
>>12511666
Probably. Hard to say. I am a National Socialist but I grew up with it.
When it aired it wasn't immediately popular so maybe look up a top ten episodes list and go from there?
>>
>>12511666
why should your race affect what you like?

it's not bad at all, just give it a shot and see if you like it, man.
>>
>>12511681
all my beaner friends would call me white wash

Seinfeld is a fairly Jewish show. Some people with particular experience of Jews can find it unwatchable or at least unfunny.

What?

Jewish humour and style. This might make more sense if you watch Curb your Enthusiasm which is like Seinfeld but turned up to eleven.

Always seems like a meme like fedoras to me.

I love how the Polo symbol has been shooped onto George to make it seem more real.
>>

It's basically only alright if you're already dressed pretty formally and it's pretty cold. Also depends on what it's made of and how it looks. Like black leather trenchs will pretty much always look Columbiney. But average ones with a suit look pretty normal.

Otherwise it's fedora-core. It's sorta like wearing anything semi-formal, if you're doing it outside of a situation for it, you look Like an overdressed neckbeard.
>>
i personally dress more towards Kramer's style since I'm tall and I like camp shirts and weird vintage stuff. but I don't go out of my way to imitate him or anything.

but time is funny. when the shows aired, George's look was invisible to me, since it was just middle-aged normie-core stuff that was everywhere for older, upper-middle class white folks . Basically just a bunch of J Crew and LL Bean kind of stuff. Now, I see how well the fits worked in terms of cut and colors, patterns, etc. Professional wardrobe people took a schlub and dressed him like a model for that type of gear.

I'd love to see the wardrobe people's reactions to these threads.
>>
how the hell is it okay for him to be fat why does /fa/ not hare him
>>
>>12515652
Personality and style go a long way
>>
>>12509792
then as now, only white-collar professionals wore them. there's just more tv shows about white-collar professionals. George worked for the NY Yankees offices. Fox Mulder? FBI agent, professional dress required. Law & Order? Detectives and lawyers, professional dress required.

IRL, some edgy teens/hipsters wore them, too, with like patches and badges usually. that was more a holdover 80s underground style, it died out in the early/mid 90s. but I don't recall that look on tv much, maybe the odd indie movie or music video.
