Does anybody know of some good running shoes that are ACTUALLY good for running but still look aesthetically pleasing? I was going to get a pait of roshe's but evidently they're really bad for running because they're so minimalist. What's a good FUNCTIONAL pair of running shoes that maybe looks similar that isnt too ridiculously expensive?

I just have some New Balance runners, the don't look amazing but neither do I with I'm running. After my run I shower and worry about fashion. Not before.

You want performance when you're doing fitness stuff.

what is ultra boost

Go to a running store (a real one) and get fitted. Running shoes are different for everyone, and are meant to compliment your foot strike and pronation. Also they will probably be neon since the normies love it, but you won't look retarded in them as long as you are moving.

An extremely comfortable but excessively delicate, and relatively bulky shoe with little to no support. That's from someone who wears them everyday. Tbf I run in a pair of beater UBs but they're ripped to shit and the soles are splitting, would recommend buying a pair for the purpose of running in them.

bro. get running shoes for running unless you enjoy injuries and long term damage to your body. then cop some fashunz shoes for flexin

Nike Pegasus could work. For me they are amazing for running, but it all depends on you feet type and style of running.

I have a pair of adidas supernovas, they're excellent running shoes and look similar to UB's.
>>
>>12505748
Buy a pair just for running and another pair for casual wear.
You aren't supposed to walk around and wear your running shoes casually. And no, roshes definitely aren't made to run in, and a "fancy insole" doesn't change that.
These guys know what's up

It's a fucking sock with a cage on it, in what world are they bulky?
They offer enough support for neutral runners imo.

I would also recommend going to a shoe store that actually caters to runners. How your foot lands and the shape of your feet matter and different running shoes are designed to address the needs of the runner based on these factors. A good running shop will have sales people that will help you pick out ones for your body.

What are you 250 lbs? My UB 2.0 feel almost new despite having ~400 miles on them.

OP here, thanks a lot for the advice/taking my dumb question seriously lads. (Again, I'm still relatively new to running. I love it, but the shoes I've been using are shite and my shins are fucking killing me.)

So I guess I'm just gonna end up getting some ugly but functional running shoes for running and then and just get a pair of roshes for fits (if at all). But if I'm getting something functional and ugly it better be pretty fucking functional and pretty fucking ugly. Any recommendations for a ~$100 budget? Anything to alleviate my shin splints.

It really depends on your running style and your feet. Just go to a store and ask the employees for help, they should be able to find the best pair for you.
I use Mizuno Wave Inspire 12's. Ugly as hell but they get the job done.

Nike Aptare

Great shoe and they look amazing
A lot like the roshe but more support in the ankle, heel and ball of the foot. toothed sole for better traction and flexibility. I work at a shoe store that sells them and i recommend them to anyone looking for a good looking running shoe and most people end up pulling the trigger on them
>>
>>12507891
what store should I go to to talk to someone who actually knows what they're talking about? like a footlocker or what? Sorry, I just want to make sure I get the right shoes for me and dont like fuck up or something.
>>
>>12508408
There's no footlocker in my country, so I can't comment on that.
I'd recommend going to a store that specialises in running shoes, or at least sports equipement. The employees usually measure your feet, check your pronation and find the best shoes for your feet.

Bought mine at store that had a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. They really pay attention to the customer's needs since they don't want people returning shoes all the time.
Used to hate running, but now I love it. Good shoes really are worth the extra.
