I've been on a roll this past week in limiting what I eat. I was placed on vyvanse about one week ago and it has been doing a great job at supressing my hunger.

I'm not on a diet; however, I am counting my calories. It seems that my average intake for the week has been ~650 cal/day. I've cut out all sweets, drink only water, skip breakfast & lunch, and eat all of my calories at dinner (lean meat, large servings of vegetables, and a grain that's usually a potato roll.)

Even though I am eating far less and aquiring my calories through much cleaner foods, I feel like I may be doing my body harm by eating at a 1070 calorie deficit.

I am starting to feel very cold around my house (~72 degrees F) , which is strange, because I used to feel the need to cut it down even further. My hands and feet feel like ice sickles.

Have any of you encountered this, and is it possible for me to maintain this current calorie intake, and only slowly adjust it whenever I am close to my weight goal? I just don't want to drop dead from not eating enough.

As someone who has dieted down from 260lbs to 155lbs at 6'0", I have to say I think what you eat doesn't matter at all beyond what makes you least likely to overeat.

I ate shitty fast food, cookies, whatever I wanted really, and so long as I stayed under my caloric intake I was still losing weight.

I think i'm 5-10 lbs away from my goal now. Abs are looking pretty nice but I have about an inch of chubbiness on my lower back. Not sure if that'll ever go away though, might be loose skin.

Either way, i think I lucked out in regard to the whole loose skin from excessive weightloss thing. I have no sag/stretchmarks anywhere. Just a bit of remainder fat on the lower back, which isn't even identifiable unless you touch the area and feel that it's not as firm as the rest of me.

and have experienced the cold thing. I think that just comes with any substantial weight loss. That being said, stop eating 650 cal a day. An adult man of pretty much any size needs at bare minimum 1000 cal a day to not become sickly. Eating like that will have some very not /fa/ effects like pitted nails and shitty hair/skin due to lack of nutrients. Also you might die eventually.

From my experience, I think you'd be right, at this point don't have such a huge caloric deficit, take it slow, with maybe 1000 to 1500 kcals of extremely nutritious foods (sweet potatoes, beetroots, broccoli, spinach, sprouted greens, berries, nuts, sardines, shellfish etc.) and make up for the extra calories with lots of intensive exercise every day, including resistance training (everyone looks better and thinner with a slightly toned body).

Get yourself a hobby, exercise everyday, only drink water (!!!!!) eat healthy, completely cut out processed sugar, read everyday, study things that interests you.

Most importantly - apply all this within the structured framework of a daily routine! Your body craves structure; there is not one, but thousands of body clocks within you that keep everything running. Even simple things like the time of day that you eat and what you eat, when you sleep and wake, when you exercise must be regular everyday to the hour.

Whenever the time of these activities change from one day to another, stress hormones (also making you gain weight i should add) are realised and it can take as much as several days for certain process to readjust.

If there is little to no structure and you have a random routine, then your body will constantly be under unnecessary stress, conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHA and being overweight are inevitable (especially when you eat and drink shit and sit around being lazy all day, unstimulated and taking in instant gratification).

So devise yourself a simple routine, focusing on bed times and meal times, and keep to it religiously. Only then can you begin to focus on losing weight, which will come easily if you develop discipline through routine.

A sport that engages the whole body is far superior. Look at the guy on the left, typical gymbro, looks grotesque. Now the right, a ballet dancer, the lines and proportions are far more aesthetically pleasing, although he's probably a skinny twink by /fit/ standards.

Okay now you're really talking out of your ass.
My boyfriend is a professional ballet dancer and many of my friends are. I guarantee you that they eat very little, certainly well under 2500 kcal a day, most of them live off of coffee, energy drink, smoothies and cigarettes, yet they all have astounding bodies and spend 6+ hours in the studio every day more or less.
I makes me question a lot of our understanding of nutrition actually, it would interesting to see a case study done on professional dancers; seriously, they're just as bad a fashion models.

The only things that you're ingesting are refined carbohydrates and sugar. Cereal is terrible for you and corn flakes taste like ass anyways. Replace it with oatmeal.

After eating oatmeal for a week, you'll understand that it tastes better, contributes to your daily fiber intake, makes you feel full as fuck, is about the same in calories, costs much cheaper, and you will have less acne break outs due to cutting out your milk intake.

You're probably lacking nutrients, anon. You can always replace the things you eat every day with more healthy items and still stay within your daily calorie range.
