Russell Athletics makes great sweatshirts. Cheap and really solid build quality. Shocked they haven't blown up.
I've got an RC sweatshirt bought on sale at $100 vs a Uniqlo one at $40 full price. Whilst the Uniqlo one has lasted like 1 year already with some usage, the RC is softer and the gussets and ribbing etc is pretty cool. Comfort wise the RC is definitely and noticeably better, but if you're poor af then just buy what you can afford.

I've really only bought Gildan stuff, It's super basic. but it lasts pretty long for its price and isn't shit quality.
Anyways if I'm looking to get something from a more "/fa/" brand what should I look into?
I'd probably spend at most $100 on a sweatshirt since I mostly use them for layering, but I'd look into more expensive stuff if there's a chance for a sale.
>>12241909
It is absolutely shit quality, but it's incredibly cheap. They start pilling horribly after a couple of washes and they mushroom really hard.
If you wanna get some more quality stuff, start looking at brands like John Elliot and Reigning Champ. They are both fantastic quality, though they are very expensive for a sweatshirt.

also, what do they feel like? are they smoother on the outside than inside? thicker than, say, a formal sweater? uniqlo doesn't specify midweight/heavyweight/etc
>>12242474
smooth fine knit on the outside, french terry loop on the inside. definitely way thicker than a "formal" sweater. i put them through the dryer hot as fuck and they haven't pilled or anything. if you have any of their "sweat" hoodies or sweatpants, the material is very similar, but thicker and heavier. they're a steal for $19 imo.

>>12243527
>Honestly the generic $5 fruit of the loom sweatshirts at Walmart fit perfectly. They get really pilly really quick tho
this is why you spend a bit more on something a bit nicer. the fruit of the loom garbage is really, really low quality fleece, very thin, and sheds fabric everywhere. if you make the mistake of putting them in the washer/dryer with the rest of your clothes when they are brand new, they will shed fabric all over everything you own.
same goes for the hanes stuff at target, not very good quality, but marginally better than the fruit of the loom stuff.
>>12244217
>is Uniqlo really fast fashion?

also, fast fashion doesn't necessarily mean cheaply made clothes, it more specifically refers to lifting runway ideas and concepts and reproducing them extremely cheaply, as quickly as possible. Uniqlo does that to some degree, but is generally focussed around basic, simple clothes made cheaply, and from my experience the cost is pretty cheap for the quality you get.

$339
>>12259732
>you can literally get things 10x the quality second hand or from actual trusted/established sellers
yes at 10x the cost
we are all poorfags
what's the most all of you would pay for a baja jacket? ? ?
I really like Our Legacy's sweaters, but do they do any actual normal cuts?
My Reigning Champ fits perfectly, and its probably the thing I wear the most, but my OL sweater never gets any wear because it just fits so awkward. Its boxy and too wide around the neck, but in a smaller size it would be too short in the torso and arms.
The only differences between a basic £20 sweatshirt and a basic £150 sweatshirt imo are
>material used (rarer and less conventional materials are used in more expensvie stuff)
>thermal capacity (more expensive sweats tend to be warmer)
Thats literally it. The comfort/fit/build quality really doesnt seem to vary between them and if it does then its only slight.
If you're looking for unique and more out there designs/fits then sure pay a bit more, but if you just want basics then dont spend any more than £30-40 on a fucking plain sweatshirt because you're wasting your money for nothing more than prestige.
>>12258256
wearing my now and love it
>>12268473
That's how all their clothes are cut. Sweaters, sweatshirts, shirts, etc. are boxy and pants are loose. That's their thing.
>>12241204
>and why it is so hard to find this shit I mean come on they're fucking sweatshirts, shit is just ridiculous
AMEN!!!
>>12260167
how 2 find good thrift stores pls
>>12270124
step 1 speak like a normal person
>>12270128
I just went into a thrift store earlier today..it sucked. How do you find the good ones? Go to wealthy suburban 2nd hand stores?
>>12241259
>Go to Costco
>Buy this exact sweatshirt for $10
>Meanwhile anons on /fa/ are paying $250 for the same thing
>>12241204
For Christ's sake, just go to Walmart or Target. I find this shit on clearance.
>>12270889

>>12272945
i'll take that as a "how is that even a question" type expression
>>12259976
ship to UK?
Reigning Champ, The Strike Gold, and Our Legacy are my top picks for value:quality
Sunspel is and Merz are super nice but more on the luxury side of things and Merz sweats are pretty thin even though they're high quality
not sure if that matters to you
>>12241442
>People's jeans and sweaters are falling apart after a year because they are not buying $200 designer jeans and sweaters
I don't think this is a problem that anyone has?
>>12272901
huge
>>12241647
none of the things you mentioned would affect the lifetime of a sweater
>>12273083
I regret not buying sunspel on sale from mrporter.
Does anyone know any good sweatshirts with nice looking graphics?
>>12241204
Worn in sweatshirts from thrift stores are god tier and nobody can convince me otherwise
are gildan sweatshirts okay for the price?
anyone know where I might find a looser fitting sweatshirt like this?
tried fruit of the loom a size up, but the fit on them is awful... made for fat people, I'm looking for something with a taller fit
>>12272998
Yes I'll ship to other countries but that just means that shipping will cost more
>>12274643
R-Collection, size up once or twice
>>12274643
The fit you posted looks supremely garbage but I like looser fits too and I usually buy 2 sizes up Abercrombie sweatshirts
>>12266943
are these oversized and what size are you wearing?
>>12274835
>Abercrombie
don't talk to me about fits, it's a clip from a skate video & I guarantee looks better than you with no effort.
>>12274710
thanks
>>12275349

>>12244682

>>12259473

>>12275443
This is bait right
>>12275511
people like you remind me why this board will always be the least fashionable
if "fashion" is something you consider a characteristic or a trait, you already lost.
>>12275443
No way I would touch that. It looks like his mother got it from a thrift store for his older brother who gave it to him 5 years later.
>>12275532
>>12275455
Neither of you could pull it off, when you look good physically, you look good in anything.
Help me
>>12275532

>>12275539

a ripped as fuck guy wouldn't be able to pull it off
it just looks like shit in general
>>12253568
Looks like good quality. Is that very heavy for a sweatshirt?
>>12275631

>>12275665
you sound severely underage
>>12275565
Black hipsters are even more insufferable than white hipsters
>>12275673
>I do say, sir, that theoretically based upon the previous posts you have constructed in conjunction with the post I'm currently replying to; I believe you to be,,, severely.... underaged. Thus, I have come to the conclusion that I will use this as an insult although it is clear & likely that I am younger than you & still shop at Abercrombie.
keeeep dressing like shit, "big" guy
>>12275700
I don't shop at Abercrombie.
Also,
>big guy
For you.
>>12275688
>Champion is now a hipster brand
even his hair & piercing don't give off a hipster appearance, what the fuck has this board come to, is it all normies now?
>>12275688
No they aren't.
>>12275719
Yes. It's pretty evident in how they talk. Half the threads here literally sound like Facebook conversations.
>>12275565
why the fuck is he wearing it inside out????
>>12275806
>he doesn't wear his sweatshirts inside out for ultimate comfort
Walmart literally has the cheapest most basic cut sweaters.
Swallow your daddies cum and pride and just do it.
>>12268473
are you me
>>12275817
The fleece inside is the comfortable part though, so that makes no sense.
Should I cop it?

Also how are you measure chest and shirt length?
