Tri Sodium Phosphate

You need to get the stuff that is actually PHOSPHATES. The government thought that it would be good to get rid of phosphates from detergent to prevent algal blooms in watersheds.

The problem is that household laundry accounted for less than 1% of phosphate polution.

Anyways. TSP is a very good chelating agent that helps carry things in water keeping them from redepositing.
