No-one cares how you look when you run, go to a running shop and try some on. Its better that you have ugly running shoes and dont kill your legs and back, then you can look even better when you're dressed to kill.

i wear pureboosts when i run. they don't look terrible. some minimal running shoes look nice if you are into that kind of running. new balance minimus or merrell vapor glove are two examples i like.

I'm not implying by any means that my old shoes were anywhere good looking but compared to Asics, my lord they look like heaven.

I mostly run to give my stamina a boost for MMA, it serves the same basic purpose as skipping rope. But an hour long run is torture if you don't have the proper shoes, so I've learned.
