Start using benzoyl peroxide, most pharmacies will have a gel or wash at around 5%.

It'll dry your skin out, but it's a strong chemical which kills all acne causing bacteria. Much stronger than most generic neutogena or clearasil products. Saved my skin.

My routine is as follows:

AM: wash face with acne cleanser, I use a cetaphil wash. Then I wipe downy face with salicylic acid wipes, stridex are a good brand. Moisturize with non-comodegenic moisturizer.

PM: apply layer of BP 5% before bed.

Be careful not to wash your face too much. Excessive dryness can be a problem of its own.

Also, most peels are a meme, and the good ones are only useful in conjunction with a good preexisting skincare routine. Peels will not cure your acne, and doing too many too often will harm your skin.

this. benzoyl peroxide saved my teenage skin and ive been using it for several years since. it's not even expensive

- definitely second not washing your face too much, just makes your skin produce more oil
- one thing to be careful with benzoyl peroxide is that it can bleach (some?) fabrics. i've ruined a hell of a lot of face towels over the years, doesn't really matter but just be careful not to get it on clothes or whatever
- try not to touch your face too much, your hands always have a fuckload of oils and bacteria on them. especially try not to touch / play around with imminent pimples too much because that's the easiest way to make them worse
- one thing ive heard is helpful but i've never had to try myself is covering your pillow with a clean towel every night before your sleep is possible. pretty much same logic as above, you're otherwise putting your head on a bacteria hub for several hours a day

The best cream is isotrexin for acne, has trace amounts of accutane. Get the antibiotic version for best results. You'll need a good anti acne moisturiser also

Step 1: Stop touching your face, unless you're washing it. Even of you aren't picking, touching your face at all makes it oilier and dirtier.

Step 2: find a good skincare routine with (very important) quality moisturizers such as neutrogena. Even if you don't have dry skin, moisturize. Make sure you spot test too, not all moisturizers work for everyone.

Step 3: Wait for the scars to fade.

Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do, but they will fade, son.
