>how does this make you feel, /fa/?
nothing makes me feel any more
no but seriously prep is just a classic casual branch of mens fashion
like suiting, workwear etc it's changed very little in the past 100 years. definitely a safe option if you want to minimize cringe when looking at old photos of yourself
the thing is, i think a lot of people here dress to express themselves artistically, not necessarily to assign themselves to (or even distinguish themselves from) any particular subculture
i think there are 3 main categories when it comes to dudes and clothes:
1. dudes who don't think about it at all. either they look like shit, or somebody helps pick their clothes, or both
2. uniform dudes - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," often owns several of the same pairs of brand/size/style of clothes in different colors
3. creative types - constantly evolving in terms of taste and style
i would categorize prep under 2, while i think a lot of the posters here would be under 3. they're probably perfectly aware that they're not going to dress the same way until they die, and they're probably totally okay with it.
i'm definitely a uniform type btw
your thread sucks and you're a faggot

Good prep thread when?
I dress preppy all the time after I fell in love with their pastels (qt.s) and conservative values.

Classic/Americana has already outlasted prep and will continue to do so.
