I wear a 28 waist in pants. I've never seriously shopped for a belt, but I decided that I want to get one, so I went to Uniqlo to find one. The only sizes they have are medium and large, and from the sizing chart it looks like the smallest they go is 31 waist.

So, am I missing something here? Will a medium leather belt from Uniqlo fit snuggly on a 28 waist? If not, where are some other good places where I can find a belt that fits?

Put your pants on then measure your waist where your belt loops are. This is how big the belt should be, in belt sizing always size up so the center hole is where you tighten it to.

If the belt is cheap enough, poke extra holes with a leather punch or awl.
But make sure it isn't laminated.
