i only own sneakers which i wear year-round and a topcoat which i wear when it's cold

should i buy a new jacket to wear with the sneakers?
or should i buy another pair of shoes (like timberlands) to wear with the coat?

It can work. It would need to be a more subdued shoe. Something that doesn't scream "sports". It should match in color to the pants and topcoat.

Also don't leave and ankle gap. Wear higher socks of the Sam color as the pants.
