It's partly doing it authentically and in the right context. If you're clearly just a boy playing dress up then you'll look like some autistic fedora.

First work on yourself and learn to carry yourself as an actual man. If you don't, you won't be able to pull off a suit - you'll look like a teenage dork, or like a lesbian in drag.

And a look like this also depends on context. If you're wearing it around in otherwise casual spaces, or hanging around with young people, you'll look clueless and autistic. The only places where this would be appropriate would be in business or formal environments or events, and only if you're legitimately involved and not just there to play out your look.

Also, completely avoid fedoras, and don't dress anachronistically. Wear actual new clothing. Being some throwback to "better times" is lame and dweeby.
