Knit ties are probably the only tie that can be worn casually.

Jackets with buttoned pockets. Avoid jackets with lapels, that's straying too far into actual uniform territory.

Shirt: rough cotton or chambray, two buttoned pockets.
Oxford shirts with buttoned collars will not work, too preppy.

Chinos are slightly more militaristic than jeans (they look clean and sharp.)

If you get one of Burberry's more modern cut trenchcoats, you might be able to wear one without looking like a pedophile

Patterned scarves aren't inherently fascist. They are more often worn by the individualistic/narcissistic/arrogant/elite/educated/"posh" soldiers such as pilots, officers, SS. Also by Gebirgsjäger because of Southern German culture, for practical reasons in Africa (although usually not patterned) and for simple comfort, the "badass" look or as a reminder of home by veteran fighters (also less often patterned).
