and don't worry about looking like a try hard until you have the basics down

For comfy and relaxed, just wear white Nike AF1's, black/grey/white tees, get a hoodie in a muted color and as for a jacket, probably just a windbreaker. Sweatpants are really overplayed and awful imo, just get some black jeans from zara or h&m, the stretchy ones are comfy anyway. This is a really easy look and although it's not particularly /fa/ or anything, it's a really safe way to dress.
