I'm in the planning stages of opening up my own store and want to sell half current designers and half archival clothing. What current brands would you want stocked in tandem with archive Lang, Raf, Undercover, Number Nine, Issey, Margiela etc?
In my mind I currently have JW Anderson, Our Legacy, Undercover.
Any input is great
Sounds like a really cool idea.
How are you getting the capital to start it?

Looking to start really small so won't be too large. Country has decent support for small business's as well. Also have a small amount of money saved + investments.

But yeah business plan taken to a bank to get a loan
This is what i want to do. I want to open one in New Orleans since thats where I'm currently at. I want to do a consignment shop but focus on designer stuff, specifcially cool japanese labels that i like. Of course it'd be all kinds of stuff, and I really want to do it because there isnt even a cool thrift shop here
good luck anon!
Implying any major contemporary brands would let some fag no name with no credibility stock their collections

I think they would at least some of them. I've seen plenty of trash places stock reasonable brands
where are you starting it?
I'd recommend Eckhaus Latta and 69 Worldwide

lemaire, marni, howell, jil sander, sacai, schneider, yohji, cdg, craig green, dries van noten, loewe, yang li, dicked ovens,

How are you going to get the stock? You know it's not easy to get even less known designers like Lou Dalton to have you as a stockist
