Are these autistic boots? I'm not really a fashion person,

OP here, someone just told me these look "school shooter" tier and I should go to a "grown up store" and get "proper leather boots" so can someone tell me what proper leather boots look like? I figured all black leather boots made you look like a school shooter.

And the only stores I have in my home town are like Dillards and JC Penny, we don't have like super fancy designer stores in my home town. Can someone post a picture of what "proper leather boots" look like, I'd prefer if they were black and for men.

Those are super school shooter tier looking, I'm not a big fan of those 10 inch high top boots and that's basically what you recommend. I'll probably just get a pair of Doc Martens and be done with it, it's the only black leather boot that doesn't make you look like a school shooter or something.

these corcorans are probably best bang for buck high boots
generally the slimmer the profile and sole, the less aggressive and school shootery they look

can be dressed up or down and will develop a nice patina as they age

If you're worried about that, get jungle boots. They're not entirely leather, and the sole and the boot in general is slimmer. And they can come in another color. Or get corcorans like the other anon said
