The official answer to this is on the carhartt site actually. The jacket matthew is wearing in interstellar is style RNJ001 which is a weathered version of the newer model j001. The rnj001 is no longer sold so it would be really hard to find one. They say the closest thing to the weathered one is the j97 but the j97 is not currently made in the brown that matthew wore in the movie.

all wrong. there are two types of detroit jackets, one is rigid and one is washed a little. this is the washed one and its called sandstone detroit jacket. dont know if they still have them in this color though. that brown leather patch is used on all carhartt's sandstone jackets and pants (as opposed to the white cloth patch)

The jacket matthew is wearing is the original weathered duck rnj007 thats not sold anymore. The sandstone however is the closest match that you can buy nowadays
