try no pooo for a month and then if your hair feels weak/thin add conditioner once a week
if not just keep goin
been like two months since i last used shampoo and not using conditioner atm
my hair has never been so good and im rockin the same exact haircut
just one thing you need to remember use cold water for your hair/scalp and really wash it well get a comb or something and scrap your scalp with fingers
depending on how well i wash my hair i can make it look more/less oily

Been doing no-poo since april 2014 and if I haven't washed it for a long time with baking soda and vinegar (different for everyone, you will understand how often you need to wash), then it can smell bad but usually it has this very slight (can be smelled when hair pulled to nose) smell/aroma of natural oils or something, I think it's a good smell.

Could be that rinsing with cold instead of warm water every day will make it smell less, i haven't tried regularly.
