Hi Fashion need advice.

I'm a dude who needs to shed about 60 lbs, just to get that out of the way. Friends want me to go to a Vegas club with them. I never go to clubs. Nfc what I should be wearing. Friend suggested I just get a black button down, some black pants and a belt and some shoes. I don't really care about being high fashion, I just don't want to stick out awkwardly. Would my friends suggestion be a safe bet?

I just wanted to wear my sneaks and a t shirt but friend balked at the idea.
