it looks fucking ugly and like what people buy when they're just starting to be even remotely interested in "fashion" but aren't really sure what that means yet

you would be better off getting a plain black or plain grey sweater, or better yet not spending money on clothes until you have a specific aesthetic in mind. in which case, you won't need advice because it will be readily apparent to you whether or not a piece fits into that mental image you have in your head.

Man, that last paragraph hits too close to home. I mean, I do have enough sense to know that OP's sweater is fugly, and people have complimented me on my style change, but you've really sapped me of confidence in all of my outfits.
