Anybody who has ever photographed people knows that this is not true at all. Some girls just don't have it. No matter what they do, they just look like shit on photos. The harder they try, the worse it gets. You may think that they looked pretty when you saw them, but on the photos they just can't deliver. If she's somewhat established you have to book her via an agency, which is rather expensive. Depending on how high profile she is something between 100–200 USD/hour, but you usually you have to pay more for compensation etc, but that depends on the agency. Higher profile models are usually only available if you have some credentials, they are not available for enthusiasts. Just call some agency for more information on that.

Different models have different rates, they're usually less amenable to amateurs because they can't portfolio bad art student photos.
