I'm on Modafinil right now and I don't know what it's like for everyone else but it does the trick for me, whatever i'm doing at the time I get really into and find myself willing to put more of my effort into it. In my limited experience, mdma was the best. It didn't really do anything spectacular though, just made me feel as if I was in a really good mood and excited about everything. (Not to say that's a bad thing) I'm not sure whether mdma is a good idea if you have anxiety. I had a few bad experiences where I thought I was dying or it made me really depressed. (I had at least a month between each, so I don't know whether it had to do with my depleted serotonin levels)

If you do drugs, do them for your own pleasure, but don't rely on them. Don't be that guy who goes around talking about how high he is, or takes too much and becomes a gurning mess. Unfortunately, that is the majority of people you encountered who take drugs at clubs.
