Does /fa/ wash their jeans?

My friend says that you should never wash them because it ruins them
>>
>fuccboi general

no, washing doesn't ruin jeans. it may fade them slightly but it hardly if ever causes actual damage. the dryer puts stress on the fabric, but not the washer.

I almost never wash my jeans only when I spill shit on them or they start smelling weird. I wash maybe once a month but I rotate between like 6 pair of pants so its not too bad.

you can wash them but do it very rarely, If you wash them on a regular basis they will fade to a crayon blue

>>
Your friend is either fucking with you or they're buying terrible clothing

i'm still on raw denim just cause they feel like they're made better

even with some of the real nice brands like gucci and slp. Their washed jeans are just lacking
>>
>>11531393
This. I frequently wash my canvas pants, but almost never any denim. Especially dark shades and black.
Also
>add vinegar to the wash, and hang dry
>>
>>11531515
The best raw denim is amazing. My PBJs don't look or feel like anything else I've ever seen. The colour and fabric are something else.

The backlash is because it was being recommended as the way to go for everyone, but if you really love denim then go for it.
>>
>>11527226
when necessary soak them in a bath with warm not hot water for an hour then hang dry provided it's raw denim. Treated denim you can do whatever you like to.

>even with some of the real nice brands like gucci and slp
> Their washed jeans are just lacking
>synthetic blends
>terrible fake looking distressing
>low rises
i wonder why
