Rub them with leather cleaner. They'll be wet for a while, but it'll take the grime right off.

If they're white, get ready to buy some bleach. Put your shit in the sink, fill with warm water, get your bleach and toothbrush. Dip the toothbrush in the bleach. Next, have the part you want to clean about 1/2 inch under the surface of the water. Then scrub it with the bleach soaked toothbrush. There will be a bit of white discharge under the water, but this is fine. Just repeat this around the shoe, I've done this to 2 white suede pairs of shoes, works like a charm and also makes the grain of the suede fine again. Just don't use straight up bleach alone in it, it will turn it yellow.

protector dulls the color, makes it look dirty anyway, not worth it imo. I've had white suede CP rip-offs for a while, honestly a white pencil eraser and a suede brush has gotten me through till now and they're still looking good
