Sup /fa/,
So I've just received a job offer for an engineering position in the city. I've done my co-op's at this facility so I know what everyone wears:
>dress pants/chinos
>dress shirt
>optional tie
>steel-toes (shipbuilding standards)
I typically dress kind of slackercore-ish, I thrift almost everything because I didn't have a ton of money to start dropping $200 on single shirts.
How do I make this transition? I feel like the juxtaposition of work clothing mixed with what I'm wearing everyday is completely fucked.
Is there any slacker-core-business-casual hybrid inspo? Maybe just some business-casual general inspo if you guys have any
ur being payed to work not show off your cool tumblr clothes you utter speng
just go to the gap and get some shirts and pants fuck
you just fucking wear work clothes to work and whatever you want otherwise
jesus when did this board become so retarded

I'm consistently fucking your mom
Jesus man get a grip no one gives a shit if your carefully managed persona isn't 100% consistent cause you wear work clothes at work

Most of the stuff I wear daily to the office I wear casually anyway. Instead of wearing a sweatshirt over an oxford I just swap the sweatshirt for a merino jumper for example. I buy slim fit but not skinny trousers for work and wear them casually as well and then just swap out some white sneakers for brown or black derbies depending on the trouser colour. It really isn't that hard to be versatile with this shit.
Just go comfycore with moderation

That outfit is way too casual to get away with in any business environment unless it is a specific day for casual dress. Guy looks like a cross between a homeless man and someone who just rolled out of bed. Not somebody you want to trust with an important aspect of your multi-million dollar project.

I just suggested what he should look for, not neccessarily this exact outfit.
May I ask what city and kind of engineering, dawg?
I'm a ChemE student

>engineering
>steel-toes
Chances are they will jump your case for wearing anything baggy, just FYI. Not totally up to speed on OSHA and stuff like that, though.

Half the work is in the office and the other half is on the production floor where you need to wear steelies, rather just have a nice pair that covers both rather than changing shoes twice a day. Probably bang on with the nothing baggy though
>slacker-core-business-casual hybrid
OP that is pretty contradictory

I'm an engineer and I just wear whatever's clean and sometimes my work fits are sick and the other consultants are mirin but idrgaf I'm rolling into work late running only on coffee and making decisions that might kill people but it's like whatever I'm so sad all the time anyway.
