You can probably get away with wearing a dress shirt (blue or white), well fitting chinos (yes they can be worn in an elegant way, chinos are versatile as fuck) and a pair of dress shoes.

Possibly a jacket, that will also depend on what the weather is like that day.

Same, college and I own a couple. High school grad suit in charcoal for big events and a couple of thrifted suits I wear occasionally to parties, dances, dates, etc. It's nice to have options for when you need them.

Not the OP but the tread topic matches my dilemma, I'm going to a gay wedding, it's not formal so no one is expected to wear a suit or tux.

My question is what do I wear that would be in good taste? Should I just wear a suit anyways and hope I won't be the only one? Wedding is in Las Vegas, dunno where the actual event will be held, maybe just inside of a chapel.

This advice would work for OP as well. If you don't have time to get a good suit, at least run to H&M or the equivalent and get a cheap blazer/sportcoat and wear with slacks/chinos. It might look a little prep-school-uniform-like, but it's better than no coat.

Wear OCBD under it. T-shirt under sportcoat won't look formal enough for a wedding.

Wear a leather jacket. White button up. Black skinny tie. Black skinny jeans. Nice dress shoes.
