Who makes an extremely good black leather derby? (a shoe I've found to be the most versatile)
doc martins are a bit too round looking, but seem okay at the low end. I like the narrowness and sleekness of SLP, but they seem sort of overpriced at close to a grand.
pic related are some Ann Dememeueleemeesterses I was considering
grenson
or
trickers?

I like these op
those are dope, go for it
i dont know much about Ann D but i've liked most of what i've seen from her
Guidi, MA+, A1923, Individual Sentiments, CCP, Carpe Diem leftovers, and of course, m_moriabc.

thanks for that list.
(and I really don't think there is enough focus on basic shoes on /fa/. this is the stuff that anyone can buy at any time, no matter their thinspo, or the trends. shoes don't make or break any look, but it sure is fun as hell to put on something great and pair it with any old shit

You're welcome. I'd recommend Guidi for most footwear as the leather is easily some of the best(they supply many other labels like IS) and it's more reasonably priced for the craftmanship compared to the others on my list.
I agree with you on the lack of focus for basic shoes. Not everything has to be overpriced SL chelseas or sneakers.

You've never tried on any Rick? Perfect for wide feet.
Any recommended black derbys available in the UK? I really like CP Derby Shines and CP Cadet Derby but that's probably because I am not aware of any other brands when it comes to derbys.
