Both have shit and good designs, neither is objectively better than the other, the fact is that adidas has invested a lot to place itself as the more prominent of the two in the fashion industry.

Adidas has been killing it with their Tubular series. The X's, Novas, Dooms, and even the ZX Fluxes and ultra boosts look good. I haven't payed much attention to nike recently besides that Tan AF1.

I've had a pair of ligas for 2 years, played football in them, took them to the gym every day in uni, skated them a few times and the only reason I replaced them was that the sole started to squeak on one. (my fault btw, you shouldn't do that thing where you slip one foot's toe over the other's heel then pull to take them off, it ruins the shoes.)

I had a pair of Puma x Ferrari "race shoes" (bought them in high school. had no idea what the hell that meant but they were popular in my fresa-infested class) and they were built very very solid. I ran in them for like a year and they were great
but the other shoes I tried after that were very very cheaply made
In retrospect, considering that their Ferrari deal is probably their biggest attribute, I assume their Ferrari shoes are gonna be better made than everything else they churn out
