if you've noticed, some of the other leaked color ways don't have the primeknit sock edge on the ankle.

the main problem i have with these is that extra stripe before the 3 stripes, but, some color ways don't have it so that's a plus.

a majority of the components on this shoe are taken from Y-3. especially that flexible rubber rear logo, exact same component was used on the Y-3 Lazelle. also front block is really similar to what a lot of Y-3 shoes have, except the front block says yohji yamamoto instead of adidas.

i like the shoe because when i first saw it it made a lot of sense. i'm sick of the faux retro trend that's dominated the zeitgeist for the past few years. it's like, we really are living in The Future, i think our design should reflect it.

other than that it's also just kind of an interesting peek into the way adidas works. Y-3 kinda functions as their test lab & then they reuse the newly manufactured custom component making machines again for mainline shoes. like the regular adidas designers have to work off of what y3 has added to their selection that year

Varies. The price can be comparable to mid- to high-end ready made shirts. But if you need something cheap then yeah, probably not. There's also a time factor, since it obviously takes a while for the shirts to be produced.

Most of the places that do made to measure shirts will give you a wider range of fabrics and more style options (different collars, cuffs, etc) than you would get at a department store. There's no reason the shirts would have to be boring unless you wanted them to be.

If you don't want to go made to measure, there are also some online retailers who have standard size shirts with more sizing options that you'd typically get at a department store. Charles Trywhitt, for example, are decent quality shirts (not worth the ridiculous RRP, but they're literally always on sale) and you can at least choose the collar and sleeve sizes separately.
