You're a good-looking guy with a nice hairline. Your hair is crazy. I get that you wanna grow out your hair enough to showcase special genetics, but the curly bushy thing apparently isn't working when it's down (makes you look younger and more unkempt, but most of all, you struggle with it-- that's the important thing), and it would be cheesy to just wear it up all the time. I think that you should bite the bullet and get something close-cropped, like >>10703456 said.

I know how it goes to be conflicted about letting your hair go natural 'cause I have blonde hair but am balding. I want to have hair to showcase the fact that I'm blonde, but my hair is just thin on top, so I rock a shaved head.
