Anyone knows of a way to cut tires that don't suck?
I'll definitely put the guard on for the next cuts
Jesus Christ what's that shit on your nails

I really feel like this is a b8 thread

Liquid rubber splatter

Recip is no good on tires. Also don't bother with circular saw.
>>961340
Mabey you would not, but I did. I thought a big shear would be good but I don't have. Found my guard doe.

Put the foot on the material you're cutting, jesus.
Also, really don't use an abrasive wheel. It will heat differentially because the rubber material is not being removed, but it sticking to the wheel. The differential heating will cause a crack, and the crack will come flying apart at 10k RPMs.

Oh fuck

Is op kil?
Stop stealing rims off cars and get a job in construction.
>>961346
oh god its legit
I mean you arnt supose to. rubber grips, and the disks are fragile.
cant find the video, but I had a link that was og a guy cutting a tire with an angle grinder, the disc broke, and a slideshow of the er.
Actualy video might be slightly different but the point stands. use a reciprocating saw to cut rubber.

thats a nice blade, but i need to cut across the steel belts in the tire
>>961375
so dont use the 7" grinder. 4.5" wheel will generate less shrapnel
>>961349
I am glad I saw a safety video about grinding wheels.
I started cutting into safe lock to split it open and I noticed there were no sparks.
Pulled back and what I thought was chrome was actually Ali.
Looked at the blade and the whole thing was clogged up in less than 5 seconds
1. buy Miracle Blade
2. remove handle
3. drill and grind blade to fit sawzall
4. put in sawzall

He was using the 4.5".
>>961349
>vid
>grinding any stock while IN FRONT of the spinning wheel
>no guards
That's just asking for injury.

>That's just asking for injury.
hey man, it'll never happen to me!
(Until it does)

>Is op kil?
No
Why not using something similar as a hot blade
>>961344
Are you down syndrome?
A recip will be find with a metal blade or better still a band saw if you have one.
Ive cut rubber similar to tyres with a tct cut off saw before now too.
I met an artist who worked with old tires once.
Guy had a giant guillotine cutter he used.
>>961320
It's easy to use a .22
Put it point blank on the side wall towards the tread and make sure you have grass on the other side to stop it without a recocet
>>961344
Demo blade works fine.
>>961682
Because there are large metal belts inside of it.
>>961320
Circular saw will work with a framing blade on it
Chainsaw will also work (be careful)
Portabands
use a blowtorch
