If it's a condensor then it needs a power supply. Mixing desks have a +48v switch for this purpose. I think this adds a DC offset to the signal, which is used to charge the capacitor (and essentially filter the DC out).

Check your one's voltage though. And an article on phantom power circuits.

I got it working by connecting it with a 2 cables and a 3.5 jack
It had pretty good sound quality according to my friends

Anyone got any interesting soldering projects btw?
