So I bought these old record cases. They were cheap, but they look kinda manky. I was thinking to spruce them up a bit, I could paint them.
Would that work? If so, what paint would you recommend? Surface is a kinda faux-leather plastic.

It's vinyl, so vinyl paint plus a finisher is what you're looking for.

You have to prep it first with something that will etch the vinyl and allow the paint (dye) to adhere
A company called SEM makes products called Vinyl Prep and Vinyl Dye for exactly this purpose. Shit is expensive, maybe US$20/can. The results will be both permanent and professional-looking
